A series to promote family, fun and fitness. Made up of local events that have the same goal in mind, help keep the community active in a fun way that also promotes Fitness and Family.

At UCFFC we are looking to celebrate those enthusiasts who "Complete not Compete."

Complete all 3 events in the inaugural 2026 UCFFC Series to be qualified for the Championship Finals which culminates at the Independence Day 5K in Saugerties, New York.

Enthusiasts Perks:

Championship Quaifier Events

Event #1 Sunday April 26, 2026 9:00am

The Kiwanis Club of Kingston is proud to welcome you back to the 42nd Annual Kiwanis Kingston Classic! Once again run in the historic waterfront district of the Rondout area of Kingston. Additionally, we will continue to use the Hutton Brickyard trail as part of the racecourse. This provided for more safety for the runners, a trail that was easy on your legs, and a scenic family fun run day there will be a 10K, 5K and a 1.5 mile, walk/run. Join fellow runners for fun, camaraderie, a great course, and a great post-race party

New in 2026 is the inaugural Donut Run! Sponsored by the local Rondout Half Moon Café, participants in the 1.5 mile heat will have the opportunity to enjoy a delicious cinnamon sugar donut at the turnaround point, and then have another as a reward for finishing!

Event #2 Saturday May 16, 2026 9:00am

The Esopus Fire Department is proud to host the 2nd Annual Esopus Fire Department 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the iconic Headless Horseman Hayrides and Haunted Attractions.

After a successful first year, this community-focused event returns to bring together runners, walkers, families, and local businesses in support of our 100% volunteer fire department. Proceeds from the event will be used to make improvements to the Esopus Firehouse that directly benefit our volunteer firefighters and EMTs.

The event will also include a Kids Fun Run following the completion of the 5K.

The Esopus Fire Departmenet 5K is open to participants of all ages and ability levels. Whether you’re racing for time or enjoying a casual walk, this is a great way to support your local fire department.

Championship Event July 4, 2026 10:30am

The course follows the over 100-year old Saugerties Firemen’s Parade route and will be completely closed to traffic. Runners will enjoy classic village scenery featuring beautiful Victorian homes, historic Main Street and Partition Street, and a loop through the Historic Home District lined with traditional Upstate architecture.

Along the way, enjoy pit stops every half mile featuring vintage hot rods and energetic cheering sections to keep your spirits high. After the race, celebrate with free traditional BBQ for all participants and front-row seating for the Independence Day parade.

The first 100 registrants get a Free T-shirt & Free American flags to wave during your run
